Final Days, Yayoi Kusama at the David Zwirner Gallery

Don’t be dissuaded by the report of the long lines or the cold. We are wild about polka dots here and Yayoi Kusama’s art has been on the Must Do list for a while now. (We understand, the holiday’s sometimes take over but it’s ending the 21st so you’ve got to hurry!) If you haven’t seen it, I Who Arrive in Heaven is surreal, intriguing and fantastical. There are two infinity rooms that boast mirrors and dots, dark and light. Read about it here.

Cool new backpacks, take me away!

pink camo backpack

We are mad about the newest backpacks to hit Babesta by Sprayground. What makes them so awesome? The wings! When my little 7 year old saw these in the picture she made me earmark  one for her this Christmas. They’re sized for an adult  (so it’s decidedly ginormous on her because she’s  quite petite), and have a built in laptop sleeves and pockets and of course the amazing wings. It’s perfect for an older child or adult who wants a backpack with distinction!

Sprayground, founded by David Ben-David, is definitely the hippest new bag company on the scene, with the bags coveted by celebrities and edgy about-towners. We’re totally psyched to have them in shop this season!

An Artful App

We get it. Your kids’ a Picasso. And a prolific on to boot.  What to do? It’s hard to find the space for  all that work, but you can’t bear to part with it forever. Love this app that I just read about on Cool Mom Picks called ArtKive. You can save all the artwork digitally and bound it in a sweet book, so it’s easy to go back to yet fits neatly on the shelf. I for one am going to grab my unruly boxes of artwork-past and give this a whirl. Read more on Cool Mom Picks.  (pic from Cool Mom Picks)
