Trend Alert: Sweet Teeth at Babesta

We've noticed that something sweet is happening in the children's biz. And it comes as no surprise. Perhaps it's just that we're irresistibly attracted to anything gummi & adorable. And (recalling the dentist that was paying kids to take their Halloween candy back), we thought we'd pair 'em with some toothy fun. Check out the Gummi Bath Toys by Jellio; GummyLamps by Jailbreak Collective; Crowded Teeth wall art featuring a decidedly sweet tooth; Oeuf's knit tooth pillow; and KidRobot's cupcake plushes. Indulge a little!

Seeing Stars at Babesta

The star is having a moment! Whereas normally you'd cast your gaze upward to catch 'em, now you can just look toward the playground for some celestial pizzazz . Check out some of our favorite fashion-forward twinklers by Mini Rodini & Bobo Choses at Babesta here.

One to Watch: Big Kids Magazine

Got something in the inbox the other day that looked pretty cool – a new creative arts magazine "for children and their grown ups" called BIG Kids Magazine. The mag is based out of Australia and touts bravery, imagination and generosity- three characteristics I can definitely support! The biannual publication is set to show kids' work and artists' work side by side and the editorial team is child-led.

Supporting the artists community and inspiring creativity in kids are values we share at Babesta -so we're excited! This should be a project worth following! Can't wait to see the first issue. Check out their progress at www.bigkidsmagazine.com.

Newark Museum and BASF Partner to Make Kids’ Science Learning Lab

Newark museum

We thought it pretty cool when BASF announced that it is partnering with the Newark Museum to create a Kids' Science Learning Lab at the Museum. As the daughter of a chemist, experimentation is in my blood. I can just imagine how much fun it would be for kids (under supervision) to try out these fun interactive classes on Saturdays. Here's a list of classes:

Sept 29 (Water Loves Chemistry: Operation Filtration), October 6 (Playful Polymers), October 13 (The Rainbow Connection), October 20 (A Hair-Raising Experiment), November 3 (The pHun Factor), November 17 (Happy Hands), December 1 (Hold Everything), December 8 (A Hair Raising Experiment) and December 15 (Playful Polymers)– at 1pm and 3pm. Get on your safety goggles folks! This will be fun!
