People magazine reported on what was called the Nobel Prize sperm bank, and the book that documents the center "Repository for Germinal Choice". It was back in 1980, when many of us were singing Madonna songs and wearing flourescent socks. But for those who were facing infertility, it offered a sexy option of predetermining the intellect of your child (or trying to), giving him/her every chance to be the genius that you knew you were meant to raise. Then there's New York magazine's cover story of the Alpha Mom this week, she who 'has it all' and runs full speed to not only fulfill her child's life and acquire every thing and piece of knowledge to get her child ahead and on a great path but also keeps herself moving forward at an excruciating pace. All this mom-talk brings up the two omnipresent questions: is it nature or nurture?, and can you ever have it all?.....
