I remember when I first got my Bugaboo. I was so proud, parading up and down the street with my little one tucked inside. It was the Hummer in a sea of Lexi (is that plural for Lexus??!!). And then all the sudden, my neighborhood was infested with them. You couldn't turn the corner without running into a clone of yourself. Cute young couple with bright red Bugaboo. The park was surrounded with strollers in all colors, lined up like Lifesaver Rolls. Tribeca is chock full of cool moms, and this was our one option - until now. Bugaboo has another trick up its sleeve, and this one's a doosey. The "Bugaboo by" is very hush hush now but by summer it will be THE status symbol stroller. It will cost somewhere in the neighborhood of $2200, so I hear. It's the first of likely many artist collaborations: they're debuting the line with a stroller by Bas Kosters, a Dutch artist and fashion designer. It's spectacular. The Bugaboo itself is stark white while his vivid cartoon-like drawings of children pop off the stroller. Quite frankly, this is the kind of stroller that you'd have another baby for.

To check it out, go to www.bugaboo.com - choose country:Netherlands, english---it's not on the US site, as it hasn't been released yet...we're just letting you in on the rumor-mill.
